Maxwell, April » Hello from Room 4006!

Hello from Room 4006!

I am Ms. Maxwell: 4th grade math, social studies and science teacher.  This is my third year at West Hills Intermediate, but my 16th year teaching and my 4th year in ASD.

We will be using a lot of online resources this year in order to learn, review, and grow.   Here are a few resources that you can bookmark for home use:

  • Google Classroom - all assignments, materials, instructional videos, and extras will be housed here.  Check it frequently to see what students are doing.
  • Online Textbooks - for math, our textbook provides extra practice that gives hints, help, and how-to for each kind of question.  This is an excellent resource if students are struggling with a concept in math.  Our science book is also available online with the complete text as well as vocabulary practice and virtual labs..
  • IXL Learning - this online learning tool aligns with our learning standards in math and ELA, giving students extra practice and diagnosing any knowledge gaps.  We will use IXL in class as well as during homeroom and for reviews.
