Mrs. Grubbs
Hello! I am thrilled to be a part of our staff at WHI, where I have the privilege of teaching English Language Arts (ELA), science, and social studies. With a passion for fostering curiosity and a love for learning, I strive to create an engaging classroom environment where students feel inspired to explore new ideas, think critically, and develop a deep understanding of the world around them.
In ELA, I encourage students to find their voice through writing, improve their reading comprehension, and develop a lifelong appreciation for literature. Our science lessons are filled with hands-on experiments, inquiry-based materials, and real-life applications that bring concepts to life, sparking a sense of wonder and discovery. In social studies, we explore history, geography, and cultures, helping students understand our diverse and interconnected world through current events.
Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling with my husband, creating digital materials, and crafting, which often inspire creative approaches to my teaching. I believe in the importance of building strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support each child's academic and personal growth.
I'm excited to embark on this learning journey with my students and look forward to a year filled with growth, discovery, and success.
